1. What we collect

We collect your email address and username at registration. When you use the service we store the files you upload, the transcript text produced from them, and basic job metadata (status, timestamps).

2. How we use your data

Your files are used solely to generate the transcript you requested. We do not read, share, or sell your content. Your email is used to send account-related notifications (transcript ready, billing receipts) if you have opted in.

3. Third-party processors

To produce transcriptions, your audio file is sent to AssemblyAI (assemblyai.com), a US-based speech recognition service. AssemblyAI processes the audio under their own privacy policy and does not use customer data to train their models. Payments are handled by Stripe (stripe.com). We do not store card details.

4. File retention

Uploaded audio and video files are automatically deleted within 72 hours of upload. This is a privacy feature — your raw recordings are not kept longer than needed to complete the transcription. Transcript text remains in your account until you delete it.

5. Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting support. Deleting your account removes your transcript history and personal data from our systems within 30 days.
